We got up and left the van at 7.30 for a walk to see deer (we saw 3 and lots of woodpeckers and a tree creeper) which ended up going a bit pear shaped because we followed a footpath to just outside the sayers croft boundary and thought it took us straight back to the zip wire but it didn’t and we ended up getting lost and coming out near the Cranleigh road sign!!!! Walked back up the road and saw lots of classic cars on their way to a display and a poor dead badger We got back at 9.30 and went for breakfast with Rob and Hannah at the house. Rob took us on a drive to find the real Pitch Hill and we walked to the viewing point. It was the same view but from a slightly different angle as yesterday and we soon discovered this is the mountain bike capital of surrey! I have never seen so many expensive mountain bikes in my life. We walked to the other car park where we were yesterday just to get our bearings. It wasn’t that far off really so we were very close. He then drove us round to a couple of really quaint villages. Back to Sayers Croft for a canteen Roast Pork lunch. The people dishing up are new so we got huge portions! Then Rob took us to another one of the huts for an Archery lesson which was great fun. He is a very good instructor and we really enjoyed it. We had a try out then tried to get all the individual colours on the target then did one proper scoring game. I got all the colours with my arrows in a straight line! But Rob wiped the floor with all of us with the scoring game – he got all 9s – all in the gold section. Then back to their place for a coffee and set off for home. We dropped the board off at Mag and David’s about 6.45 and got home about 7.45 after a coffee with them.
